Active Issues

Radiation Oncology Board Timing - There have been some recent changes to the timing of the board examination for residents. The ARRO Board will continue to work with the American Board of Radiology to express the views of residents as they relate to the board examination. Please see the "Boards" section for further information.

Web site Improvements - The ARRO Board continues to improve the Web site for residents. We hope that with the timely dissemination of information, interactive forums, and useful information, the ARRO Web site will become an invaluable resource for residents.

ASTRO events - We are currently planning events for the ASTRO Annual Meeting in Denver. The ARRO events in Atlanta were a success and we are looking to make this year's meeting even more interactive. The ARRO reception will be held in conjunction with RRS in 2005.

Thanks - We would like to thank Amgen for providing the International Journal of Radiation Oncology*Biology*Physics (the Red Journal) to ARRO members through 2007. We also appreciate ecampus.com for their support of resident education through discounts on textbooks.

Communication - Dissemination of important information will continue to occur via regular ARROgrams as well as posting on the Web site.

Organizations - The ARRO Executive Committee is dedicated to exposing residents to societies that are resident friendly and relevant to radiation oncology.
